United States vs. Wade Havvard

I had read an article for my Forensic Science class about a man named Wade Havvard being convicted of owning guns after he commited a fellony of selling and trading guns without a liscence. They found a latent fingerprints, which is a fingerprint that cannot be seen by the naked eye, on a gun at the the residence that Havvard was staying at. Havvard denied that it could be used as admissable evidence because he said that fingerprints can not indiviualize a person. The United States brought in a lady who testified that fingerprints could individualize a person because everyone has different prints. Havvard was finally convicted to 120 months in prison and a $1000 fine.

Eventing

Eventing is an equestrain sport that require many charateristics from both horse and rider. There are three phases: dressage, cross country, and show jumping. The scores from these three phases combine to determine the winner. In dressage, the horse and rider and scored based on the execution of movements and on the horses acceptance of the rider. The next phase, which is cross country, requires strength and stamina to complete a long course full of many jumping obstacles. Showjumping is the last phase which require the horse and rider to complete a technical jumping course full of bright jumps.
Many different breeds of horses are used in eventing. Some of the more popular choices are Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods. The eventing horses must be physcialy fit because the demands of eventing are very hard on the horse. A horse with correct confirmation will be neccessary for the horse to stay sound throughout his career. Thoroughbreds are popular horses for eventing because they have amazing strength and jumping form. Warmbloods posses great speed, stamina, and jumping ability. All in all a horses much have good characteristics for each phase. The event horse must be composed and obedient in the dressage phase, courageous and show great stamina in the cross country phase, to show accuracy and respect for the jumps in the show jumping phase

My Bondage and My Freedom

The book I am reading in class is called "My Bondage and My Freedom" by Frederick Douglass. It is a narrative of his life in which he deals with the hardships of slavery, and the desire to gain freedom. The master's wife had begun to teach him to read and write but her husband became upset with her because he said that a slave that can read and write will be of no use to them because he will find a way to escape because he know he has a chance to be free. After this, the wife begins to act more cruelly to Fredrick than ever before. This made him understand that there was no justified reason for him to be a slave to another person. People are equally the same and one should have no advantage over another. It is a natural feeling for humans to care for one another, not act cruelly to each other.
